Brushing my teeth with the water off is so easy  - why hadn't I done this before???

I have thought of decluttering and donating and a once a year activity, which makes it easy to put off. But thinking of it as a once a day activity not only makes it more manageable but also increases the likelihood of success. Today I went through my sock drawer, a small thing, but it felt good to get something done. Tomorrow my plan is for 1/2 a file cabinet drawer, a drawer that I have been putting off cleaning out because it seems like such an effort so it doesn't get done. Now I think it will.

I am doing this because although I do a lot of good things for the environment and my health, I think I could do more and this challenge provides the incentive I need to get out of my comfort zone. For example, although I know that there are many times I could walk to locations like the dog park or the grocery store when I just need a few items, since I live within a mile of both, I end up driving because I am always in a rush. I need to slow down an walk or bike which is better for the environment and for my health.
