  • Reflection Question
    Simplicity Meditate
What would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?

    Apoorva . 5/13/2019 2:32 AM
I would like to invest more time on introspecting my inner self & my own actions, to realize what impact am I putting on my society, people around me.
Also I would try to be more thoughtful about my actions towards our environment & nature.
  • Reflection Question
    Energy Switch to Cold Water
What do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?

    Apoorva . 5/13/2019 2:28 AM
I would prefer this money to be donated out to some NGO or to some under privileged who might need this money to make ends meet.

  • Apoorva . 5/13/2019 2:25 AM
Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed

  • Apoorva . 5/06/2019 5:38 AM
  • Reflection Question
    Waste Personal Waste Audit
Why is it so difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places? How might your experience with this challenge impact your future consumption and choices?

    Apoorva . 5/06/2019 4:40 AM
As part of human nature, till the time we are not affected, we don't understand what impact our actions are causing to the environment & society.
Once we are impacted by the choices we make, we start taking actions mindfully.

As per my experience with this challenges , there are certain points which I'm definitely going to keep in mind, e.g Avoid Wastage of food, Saving Water & Electricity, Focsuing on planting more trees around etc.
  • Reflection Question
Food Try a New Way to Prep
Canning and pickling food is a great way to have delicious summer fruits and vegetables all year round. Just make sure to follow the canning and pickling guidelines from the USDA. What are some foods that you would like to preserve and enjoy later in the year?

    Apoorva . 5/06/2019 4:29 AM
    Cranberries, Jams, Cherries

  • Reflection Question
    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

    Apoorva . 5/06/2019 4:24 AM
We can start by taking small steps in our day to day routine to incorporate these "R's" in our life, for ex:
While purchasing beverages or Coconut water or some other drink, we can "Refuse" the use of straws.
We can "Reuse" paper bags or cloth bags whenever stepping out for shopping.
"Reduce" the unnecessary consumption of natural resources.
  • Reflection Question
Water Brush My Teeth Without Running Water
What is the main water source in your region? If you don't know, how could you find out?

    Apoorva . 5/06/2019 4:17 AM
I think the river flowing adjacent to the city is the main source of water in our region.
  • Reflection Question
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?

    Apoorva . 5/06/2019 4:16 AM
Carrying out things in our hand or in a cart is what  would preferably do, depending on how many things I'm carrying at that time.

To avoid such situation, we should prefer carrying a reusable bag with us whenever we are going out for shopping or purchasing groceries.
  • Reflection Question
    Waste Lobby For Reusables
What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

    Apoorva . 5/06/2019 4:13 AM
Human activity is causing environmental degradation, which is the deterioration of the environment through depletion of resources such as air, water and soil; the destruction of ecosystems; habitat destruction; the extinction of wildlife; and pollution. As per current scenario human's are affecting the planet through all means be t air, water, soil, land.
