Reflection QuestionNature Explore My AreaHow might spending more time outdoors enhance your brainpower?
Noa Bronicki 3/24/2023 7:05 PMI think spending time outdoors can enhance your brainpower by exposing you to new environments. There are lot of lessons we can learn from nature by watching and observing; taking time to get to know your local area can help you to understand things you previously took for granted. -
Noa Bronicki 3/19/2023 7:08 AMI was in California over the weekend, and because of the storms my family did not have power for 4 days straight. I think this really helped us to reflect on which parts of our energy use are absolutely necessary, and what we could do without. On the other hand, it highlighted how heavily reliant we are on energy, and how much we take it for granted.-
Diego Bigelow-Gonzalo 3/25/2023 1:53 PMThat's such an impactful realization. This reminds me of the time I went home for the weekend (when my parents were out of town) and I had to survive without electricity, heating or water. It took buying gallons at Safeway and using many, many blankets to survive. -
Maria Quinn 3/19/2023 6:54 PMThat's really tough! You never realize how much you need something until you can't have it anymore. Hopefully everything is back to normal now!

Reflection QuestionWaste Choose Two-Sided PrintingChoosing two-sided printing can be an easy adjustment on your computer settings. How can you help others make this same switch? Can it be encouraged company wide?
Noa Bronicki 3/13/2023 1:44 PMI think making two-sided printing the default rather than an additional option you have to look for would result in more people using it. There are instances when single-sided is necessary, because the pages are going to be used separately, but people can actively seek that setting when they need it.-
Diego Bigelow-Gonzalo 3/25/2023 2:10 PMThat's facts. Making things opt-out instead of opt-in would save a lot of resources depending on what the setting was, and should become the standard.

Noa Bronicki 3/08/2023 8:29 PMIn the past couple of weeks, the crazy weather trends in both coasts have really been highlighting the need for immediate action with regards to the climate crisis. A week after the storm, there is still snow on the mountains in California, and this weekend it is predicted to snow again. It's been interesting to see how people react to it. Some are just amazed and see it as positive, while others look at the bigger picture. It's also not entirely negative -- having so much rain and also snow is helping to end California's drought. -
Noa Bronicki 3/07/2023 6:50 PMBeing at home, it's interesting to see how my ecological actions are different. In DC, I am able to take public transportation a lot, while in California, that's not really an option. On the other hand, my electricity use is somewhat mitigated by having solar panels on our house and I drive an EV to reduce emissions.-
Diego Bigelow-Gonzalo 3/25/2023 2:10 PMThat's so dope! What EV do you drive??
