Say No to Plastic Straws

An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 2 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

A sustainable water future would include reusing rain water for backyard watering of lawns and plants. This can change by people advocating for this and by putting a limit on weekly hose water usage in your own home.

It is going really well, I do not tend to use many straws when I have a water or soda so it has not been very difficult for me. I've also added the challenge of taking no more than 5 minute showers. This has been a little harder but I can definitely do it and see that it will make a difference in preserving resources!
