Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

One of the barriers in the workplace is having the soda/water vending machines on campus. I can advocate for change in our campus with Administration and come up with way we can improve toward making a permanent change. We will take one day at a time to reach one and each one teaches one.

    Waste Lobby For Reusables
What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

    Marie Etienne 9/14/2018 11:10 AM
Air pollution is a major concern for the planet locally, nationally, and globally. The way we transit to work with heavy traffic is not healthy at all.

I join the challenge to support PTK students at Miami Dade College. I am also eager to learn about ways to improve my health, society, and those that benefit Humanity.

    Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

    Marie Etienne 9/14/2018 11:03 AM
Wow! this is incredible data. I had no idea we wasted so much food per year. I will do my best to be mindful on how we spend money on food and not throw out. I would rather use my money to support charitable events of the American Cancer Society and the Haitian American Nurses Association of Florida.
