Reflection QuestionHealth Joyful MovementWhat's your favorite activity(ies) in which you experience joy while being active and moving?
Benjamin Jakabcsin 2/14/2023 7:46 PMOne of my favorites right now is doing physical therapy for my hip. It is joyful because it helps me feel like myself again more and more each session after post-op,-

Reflection QuestionFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?
Benjamin Jakabcsin 2/03/2023 6:55 PMThis is a top that we discussed in class. A reason that people do this is because of richer and western eating traditions adopted to mimic that of rulers back in europe in times when meat was more scarce. This desire for meat can damage the balance of ecosystems and cause increased pollution. -
Reflection QuestionHealth More Fruits and VeggiesHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?
Benjamin Jakabcsin 2/02/2023 4:55 PMThis challenge fits in well with the meatless meals challenge I have been doing throughout the entire time of this assignment. I think by eating more fruits and veggies and less meat it can help reduce emission both in the short term and in the long term by changing my eating habits -
Reflection QuestionSimplicity Less Screen TimeWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Benjamin Jakabcsin 2/01/2023 8:41 PMThis challenge has been helpful for me so far, as recently I haven't been doing as good a job of reading for fun which is what I have been replacing screen time with so far. It hasn't been super easy as I have been pretty busy recently but I have enjoyed it. -
Reflection QuestionHealth Practice Loving-Kindness MeditationHow can practicing Loving-Kindness Meditation be helpful to the health of the environment?
Benjamin Jakabcsin 1/31/2023 7:28 PMI think that reflective practices can help the environment by helping recenter myself and others, I've found that having a clearer mind and a more positive attitude has made accomplishing some of my other ecochallenge goals easier like taking shorter showers which in turn helps the environment.
