    Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

    This is a top that we discussed in class. A reason that people do this is because of richer and western eating traditions adopted to mimic that of rulers back in europe in times when meat was more scarce. This desire for meat can damage the balance of ecosystems and cause increased pollution.

    This challenge fits in well with the meatless meals challenge I have been doing throughout the entire time of this assignment. I think by eating more fruits and veggies and less meat it can help reduce emission both in the short term and in the long term by changing my eating habits

    This challenge has been helpful for me so far, as recently I haven't been doing as good a job of reading for fun which is what I have been replacing screen time with so far. It hasn't been super easy as I have been pretty busy recently but I have enjoyed it.

    I think that reflective practices can help the environment by helping recenter myself and others, I've found that having a clearer mind and a more positive attitude has made accomplishing some of my other ecochallenge goals easier like taking shorter showers which in turn helps the environment.
