This week I drove a bit more than usual, but I offset my increased emissions output by using less electricity both around my apartment and other locations (ie: power down all devices more habitually and use a gas burner stove).

I hear all my neighbors buzzing their A/C's when its breezy outside, what a total waste of energy and health for that matter. Just open your windows!!!

  • Rokas Jarosas 6/08/2020 12:05 AM
I hope everyone is doing well in being environmentally friendly. Please remember to turn off the power to lights and appliances when your not using them.

Things are going swell, I am very proud to be following through with my Eco-challenge commitments.

  • Rokas Jarosas 6/04/2020 2:16 PM
I hope everyone opens their windows before running the AC!
  • Reflection Question
    Energy Turn it off
How is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?

    Rokas Jarosas 6/01/2020 12:51 PM
We use hydro-electricity as well as nuclear. However, many homes are opting for solar panels.
  • Reflection Question
    Energy Adjust the Thermostat
Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your ZIP code, region, and/or state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?

    Rokas Jarosas 6/01/2020 12:50 PM
Simply by using less power and unplugging rarely used appliances.
  • Reflection Question
    Energy Power Down the Computer
What are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?

    Rokas Jarosas 6/01/2020 12:49 PM
Make less trips driving, or even consider walking if time is not of the essence.
  • Reflection Question
    Energy Learn About Renewable Energy
What inspires you to act on sustainable energy and other energy issues?

    Rokas Jarosas 6/01/2020 12:49 PM
I want to be an example of the solution; rather than voicing my concerns I am inspired to take action to others will reciprocate.

  • Rokas Jarosas 5/19/2020 8:39 PM
I made sure to turn off lights in rooms that aren't in use
