COMPLETED 10 OF 31
DAILY CHALLENGE

Create Your Own

Scrapbook to reduce paper waste

I like to take magazines, newspapers or flyers and cut out aesthetically pleasing pictures to paste them into an old, used sketchbook that I have had since last year so that it may become a scrapbook. I chose this challenge because it is easy, enables me to hide sketches that I dislike when I look back at my old pieces, and it reduces paper waste or at least uses up the paper that was spent for such flyers.

Does fostering a cat count as a sustainability related action?

I feel a bit guilty as I let my sister visiting from BC buy me new clothes and makeup from Winners because she wanted to make up for not being able to see me for Christmas or my birthday. Please tell me gifts don't count.

  • Reflection Question
    Simplicity Eat Mindfully
Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?

    Shara Khan 10/03/2018 4:56 AM
The food tastes better because of the concentration not being deterred by other external stimuli in the environment like Netflix, Youtube, etc
  • Reflection Question
    Health Healthy Sleep
Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

    Shara Khan 10/03/2018 4:54 AM
I get only 6 hours of sleep or less a night. I would like to go to bed earlier in order to get at least 8 hours instead. I find not using electronics an hour before bedtime helps.
