Reflection QuestionWater Brush My Teeth Without Running WaterWhat is the main water source in your region? If you don't know, how could you find out?
-
Reflection QuestionSimplicity Core ValuesWhat are your top 3-5 core values? How did you narrow it down to those as being your core values?
zoe klausner 1/31/2023 8:30 AMMy top core values are community, reciprocity, and integrity. I chose these because they are the main points I try and center my life around. -
Reflection QuestionSimplicity De-Clutter My Home or Dorm RoomHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more unnecessary things in the future?
-
Reflection QuestionSimplicity Go For A Daily Walk OutsideFresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?
zoe klausner 1/29/2023 11:01 AMTaking a walk each day allows me to be more present with myself. I'm able to take stock of all the many things going on in mine life and have an internal dialogue about how I feel and form my own opinions.-
Maria Quinn 1/29/2023 11:42 AMI'm with you--I love taking walks because they allow my mind to either be quiet, or thoughts run through without their usual filter.

Reflection QuestionWaste Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
zoe klausner 1/27/2023 9:44 AMOn campus, the coffee shops I use don't let you fill up using a mug or travel cup. At other places, it can feel awkward to make the request to use your reusable mug when the standard is plastic. -
Reflection QuestionSimplicity Disconnect from EmailNotice how much time you were spending checking email away from work and make note of that. Now that you have stepped away from it and have not been checking, what changes are you noticing in your thoughts, use of time, stress and energy levels?
zoe klausner 1/25/2023 2:25 PMWhen I'm not checking my phone, I'm able to be more present with the people around me. -
Reflection QuestionWaste Skip the StrawHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
zoe klausner 1/24/2023 5:26 AMI think "reduce" is the ultimate 'R' because the main issue creating our need to recycle, repair, and repurpose (which are all good things too) is overconsumption. I can reduce by looking in my closet and appreciating what I have when I'm considering buying a new piece of clothing. -
zoe klausner 1/23/2023 10:36 AMI joined the eco-challenge because I like to think I'm a relatively environmentally conscious person, but there are so many aspect of my daily life that I don't even think about their effects on the world around me. Engaging in the challenge will make me a more aware citizen of the planet. -
Reflection QuestionWater Use Reusable BottlesWhat are some of the needs that water meets or benefits that water provides for you?
zoe klausner 1/23/2023 10:34 AMWater allows me to bathe, clean my clothes, cook my food, and hydrate my body. -
Reflection QuestionSimplicity Less Screen TimeWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
