  • Reflection Question
    Transportation Walk Instead
Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Do you feel that this fact applies to you? If so, how might you incorporate more muscle-powered transportation in your daily life?

    Aidan Raikar 3/04/2019 6:39 PM
Since I don't have a car, I don't feel that this fact applies to me. I want to get a bike though so that I can travel more easily to places that aren't too far away.
  • Reflection Question
    Energy Power Down the Computer
What are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?

    Aidan Raikar 3/04/2019 6:39 PM
Other easy things that I could do to save energy are to turn off the lights when I leave the room and to not let the sink keep on running with water when I brush my teeth.
  • Reflection Question
    Health Healthy Sleep
Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

    Aidan Raikar 2/27/2019 6:29 PM
I get a good amount of sleep now. I usually sleep around 7-8 hours a night. I would like to shift my sleep patterns by more consistently waking up and going to bed at the same times so that my circadian rhythms work well with my sleep schedule. I am going to try to finish my homework early enough to go to bed on time and to wake up at the same time in the morning consistently.
  • Reflection Question
    Health More Fruits and Veggies
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

    Aidan Raikar 2/27/2019 6:27 PM
I think people in North America are used to eating large amount of meats with our meals because a lot of cheap food places (fast food) serve meals with meat being the main component of the meal. We can start shifting from a meat-focused food culture by spreading more information of the cost of eating meat with our meals and trying to emphasize the health benefits of eating more vegetables and fruits rather than meats.
