    Food Join a Local CSA
Dependable fresh food, better prices (cutting out carbon-heavy supply chain and grocery stores), supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these benefits (or others not listed here) inspires you the most?

I think supporting local farmers is what's most inspiring now.  I signed up for a Winter Grain CSA and picked up my order over the weekend.  It was a lovely experience, way less stressful than grocery shopping, and allowed farmers to sell leftover small quantities of what they have, that larger suppliers otherwise wouldn't take.  This helps financially support local producers, reduces food waste, and also reduced my personal garbage as I had to bring my own containers to collect each item.  And, it was really fun!
