  • Reflection Question
    Energy Install Alternative Energy
How is your region being affected by climate change? How will it be affected in the future?

Shakti Singh Tanwar 4/24/2019 8:44 PM
Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment. Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier, plant and animal ranges have shifted and trees are flowering sooner.
  • Reflection Question
    Energy Replace Manual Thermostats
How do you anticipate replacing your thermostats for programmable ones will positively impact your life?

Shakti Singh Tanwar 4/24/2019 8:43 PM

Energy bills account for a large percentage of utility bills regardless of the time of the year. Consequently, it is not uncommon to know that a majority of households are always looking for the opportunity to reduce energy bills.

  • Reflection Question
    Energy Choose Clean/Renewable Energy
How might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the shift to clean energy?

Shakti Singh Tanwar 4/24/2019 8:28 PM
The burning of fossil fuels is polluting the air, fueling war and global conflict, and breeding dependency on oil-rich countries. But efficient, sustainable alternatives exist that can revolutionize the energy industry.   You can help make this shift by reducing your reliance on fossil fuels, supporting clean alternatives, and spreading the word about new energy technologies
  • Reflection Question
    Energy Upgrade My Windows
How does improving your home's energy efficiency help you better live out your values?

Shakti Singh Tanwar 4/24/2019 8:26 PM
Recent increases in incentives now allow for homeowners to receive credit for up to 30 percent of the cost of energy-efficient home improvements to an existing home. That, on top of the savings you'll see on your bills and the increased value of your home, equates to even more money in your pocket.

Ultra-efficient homes aim to reduce unnecessary energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and demands for nonrenewable resources by combining state-of-the-art, energy-efficient construction, appliances, and lighting with commercially available renewable energy systems, such as solar water heating and solar electricity. By taking advantage of local climate and site conditions, designers can even incorporate passive solar heating and cooling and energy-efficient landscaping strategies.
  • Reflection Question
    Community Host a Viewing Party
How does environmental quality influence your sense of community?

Shakti Singh Tanwar 4/24/2019 8:24 PM
humans have a strong need for safety and security and look for those attributes in their environment. We also look for physical comfort, such as an environment with the right temperature. In addition, we seek an environment that is psychologically comfortable: for example, environments that are familiar, but offer the right amount of stimulus.
  • Reflection Question
Community Raise Money For a Nonprofit
How do/can Ecochallenge.org programs help you develop a stronger sense of community?

Shakti Singh Tanwar 4/24/2019 8:21 PM
We can bond with people and places that help us satisfy these needs. That is why the creation of caring, inclusive, participatory communities for our self's is really important.
