  • Reflection Question
    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

    Alicia Velazquez 11/01/2018 3:54 PM

I use plastic containers for lunch and I use thermos for water consumption. Consumption as much as possible of items from the state (most often it is food), I recite the paper from the office and avoid the straws in restaurants.
  • Reflection Question
    Health More Fruits and Veggies
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

    Alicia Velazquez 11/01/2018 3:47 PM

I think this topic should be taken from home. And it must be implemented in the curriculum of the student from kindergarten to professional.
  • Reflection Question
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

    Alicia Velazquez 11/01/2018 3:45 PM
To carry things in my hands and the system that I have implemented is to load a cloth bag and another I leave it in my office

Health Go get a check up
How do you practice self care?

    Alicia Velazquez 11/01/2018 3:34 PM
Preventing by means of good nutrition, exercise, and activities related to increasing my relationship with God and having healthy relationships.
  • Reflection Question
    Food Whole Foods Diet
Michael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this idea?

    Alicia Velazquez 11/01/2018 3:32 PM
I think that is not the right thing to do, since the doctor is the specialist and instead, another person can cause you more damage.
