  • Reflection Question
    Water Use Reusable Bottles
What are some of the things that water provides for you?

    Gunnar Ward 11/07/2018 8:23 PM
Water is the primary liquid I consume. It already makes up most of my body. However, water is more than that. To me water can be a time to focus, to breath and refuel my body for whichever situation I may be in. From the basketball courts to the classroom, water strengthens my body and mind in connection to the outside world.
I don't know why I became a water philosopher, but I did. It felt right. Water is right.

The weekend is near. The sun is out and the leaves are brilliant in color. There is always work to be done, but I have a great team in Big Chillin behind me. Let's get this bread.
  • Reflection Question
    Transportation Walk Instead
Half of all trips made in the US are three miles or less; 72% of them are driven. Do you feel that this fact applies to you? If so, how might you incorporate more muscle-powered transportation in your daily life?

    Gunnar Ward 11/01/2018 5:22 AM
I think it is applicable to me, but I make up for it by studying on a small college campus with everything in walking distance. I walk to class, to work, to lunch and only take my vehicle off campus if necessary.
  • Reflection Question
    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

    Gunnar Ward 11/01/2018 5:10 AM
I am an RA on my college campus. November encourages RA's to educate others on how to make a difference. With that being said, I am encouraging to really practice the various R's to make a difference. Bulletin board to come!
  • Reflection Question
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?

    Gunnar Ward 10/30/2018 6:23 AM
One project I am participating is encouraging my college administrators to reduce plastic waste bottles from vending machines and establish more refillable water bottle stations throughout campus.
  • Reflection Question
    Health Exercise Daily
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    Gunnar Ward 10/30/2018 5:56 AM
I incorporate my friends with my exercise routines by inviting them to join. We really enjoy playing basketball!
