    Waste Find Local Recycling Depots
Our ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?

    Dana Wynn 10/06/2019 3:53 PM
Madison County has a recycling resource bin located at the end of the lot at the Lowe's in Alton and the city of Alton provides a free, large, heavy duty recycling container for all of it's residents.  Need more info on recycling in Godfrey, IL.

I haven't done. A hot job remembering to log in. But I have found that  posting about it helps, and replying to others posts or reflection questions.

My goal today is to update  my challenges.

Got more new people to  recruit to our team from OTHER campus student organizations at the leadership training workshop this morning. A lot of data entry before many more invitations go out.

The time is winding down before the  challenge starts. I am ready. It is my goal to recruit 10 more members for  our team.

    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

    Caelyn Adams 9/01/2018 9:48 AM
To start the shift away from meat eating culture, would be to introduce yummy non-meat meals once in a while.  Being conscious of the animal and worker treatment and how a vegetarian or vegan meal can be just as good as steak.

We can start to shift from a meat focused culture by advertising more about the benefits of not consuming meat for personal health and for the health of the environment

    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

    Caelyn Adams 9/01/2018 9:47 AM
Working towards this is making me more conscious about always carrying a reusable cup for my coffee
  • Reflection Question
    Simplicity Disconnect from Email
Notice how much time you were spending checking email away from work and make note of that. Now that you have stepped away from it and have not been checking, what changes are you noticing in your thoughts, use of time, stress and energy levels?

    Alex Carney 8/30/2018 6:49 PM
I realize that people are generally going to answer the emails I send at the same time regardless of if I send them at night or in the morning during business hours.  Most things just aren't that serious.

    Health Exercise Daily
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    Alex Carney 8/30/2018 6:48 PM
I went to the gym with my girlfriend and spent my time listening to music I enjoy
