    My mom is a plastic water buyer. When I moved to my new apartment she brought me packs of water and while I save them to give them back to her, I couldn't help but to feel guilty. I think it's interesting that her conditioning makes her see plastic and thinks financial opportunity (from recycling) but I see it and think about our oceans. I...

    I am fortunate enough to have family with solar powered panels above their homes. By avoiding expensive electricity bills, we have been able to provide clean and renewable energy for our homes. We are also reducing our carbon footprint which is great for our environment.

    I could go thrifting more often and further reuse containers like I do currently.  I also could purchase a reusable straw and continue to donate things when I no longer need them instead of throwing them away.

    I can unplug things when I leave the apartment so they're not taking up any electricity or outlet space.  I have started to implement this, but I will continue to do so and improve.

    I am not quite sure how electricity is generated in colony, so I am not completely aware of its impacts.  I should look into this in the future.

    I think that a sustainable water future in my region might look like some of the sustainable water practices that Nevada has picked up about learning how to treat waste water and reclaim it.  This would help us avoid future droughts.
