    I’ve started to notice that I throw my compostable food containers out with the rest of my meals because it’s easier to put them in the bag with the rest of my trash instead of throwing them away separately. I’m making an effort to make the extra trip to the trash room so I can both compost and recycle more.

    I am not new to composting! My high school composted and used the soil we created in our gardens. I noticed most of what I toss in a day is compostable and the stuff that isn’t is easily avoided. I would use compost in gardens outside. I don’t typically use it indoors because of the smell but I do use some food waste as fertilizer for my house...
