    Waste Recycle Everything I Can
What have you learned about what is accepted by local haulers for recycling, what you can drop off or ship to certain places, and what is not recyclable in your area? What is the most difficult part of recycling for you?

Mary Beth Sinniger 6/11/2019 4:53 AM
We go to the dump to dispose of our garbage and recyclables.  There are multiple things to recycle and i am now very anal about making sure my family recycles everything we can.  I am much more observant of others who don't recycle.

Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?

    Chad Gilbeck 5/16/2019 6:38 AM
I use a stainless steel water bottle that I refill.  I don't use plastic at all.

    Simplicity Eat Mindfully
Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?

    Laura Weidemann 4/11/2019 9:14 AM
Eating with distractions like the television causes me to eat more than I need and does not make me feel satiated. Eating mindfully helps me to focus on completely chewing food and digestion.

    Health More Fruits and Veggies
What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How can we start shifting from a meat-focused food culture to a more plant-based one?

    Laura Weidemann 4/11/2019 9:10 AM
Eating a more plant-based diet reduces the greenhouse gas emissions and water expenditure of industrialized agriculture. We can all benefit from eating more plants.

I finally convinced my husband to fix our leaky bathtub faucet. The project is going to take longer than expected because he going to change the piping too. It will also fix the issue of when we turned on the shower, water would still come out of the bottom faucet so hopefully we will get better water pressure too.

    Health Exercise Daily
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    Silvana Richardson 3/19/2019 3:07 PM
I always go to the fitness center with my husband.  He is my exercise "buddy"

I actually remembered my reusable straw on Friday when I went out for lunch!

I would like to give a shout out to culvers in la crosse. They now have an option to recycle plastic. This is great because their utensils, straws, lids, custard cups, ketchup cups are all plastic. I hope other locations have adopted this as well.

I really need to start carrying my reusable straw with me. I always think about it once I get to the restaurant.
