May 3 at 12:53 PMLittering and dumping hazardous materials impacts the health of our water systems. I pick up trash along the canal way when I walk my dog or go for walks on my own. It helps keep the trash from making it's way into the canal.

May 3 at 12:51 PMI went with my class to our local dump and was able to see there recycle one program and the new anaerobic digestion tanks which was really cool and informative. I learned how the recyclables were separated, and before visiting I didn't know we had anaerobic digestion tanks creating energy.

May 3 at 12:49 PMPollution from traffic and buildings is the biggest air quality pollutant, however people in the area seem to litter a lot around here and it gets into the waterways, and can be seen along roadsides, there are plastic bags caught in trees and it's really disgusting. I think living in crowded areas where there is litter and increased exhaust...

May 3 at 12:44 PMIn my community I believe those most negatively affected are poor people. They tend to live in areas that are not well maintained, have less trees, live in cheaper homes located near power lines or busy highways, have less land for gardening.
