    Other water-reducing steps that can be taken in the restroom are using water-saving toilet flushing methods and turning off the water while brushing teeth.

    Eating meat requires more water than eating at lower trophic levels. Moreover, it requires farmers to divert crops from feeding people to feeding other livestock.

    One of the most prominent water concerns where I live is flooding in the spring time. When the snow melts during the water season, water has difficulties entering the nearby sewers and rivers. This is why it can be helpful to have rain gardens and other surfaces that allow for higher water infiltration.
