  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity
What would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?

    Aisha Farley 102 11/08/2025 8:05 PM
I would like to invest more time in reflecting on the present and what I can control now. I often find myself stuck in the past or overthinking the future, the what-ifs and buts. I am slowly understanding the consequences that come with such thoughts.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy
What do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?

    Aisha Farley 102's avatar
    Aisha Farley 102 11/08/2025 7:57 PM
I plan to put my savings into an emergency fund or take some courses on sustainability to expand my impact and knowledge.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health
How did exercising each day impact your physical or mental well-being? What activity did you enjoy most, and why?

I made a goal to attend the gym every day, and it has helped improve my mental and physical well-being by helping me focus on what I can control and with stress relief. I enjoy walking on the treadmill every day because I can listen to music as I keep moving.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy
What are other ways you could use the power of the sun to reduce your own environmental footprint?

This is something we use in my house to help reduce our environmental footprint: solar panels. We use this for electricity for our whole household. It helps reduce our need for fossil fuels and works great.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy
How is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?

Electricity where I live is generated through natural gas and nuclear power plants. The impact that both can create can be both helpful and harmful at the same time. Natural gas burns cleaner than coal, which has helped in reducing air pollution; however, it harms the environment by contaminating groundwater and surface water with chemicals and increasing earthquakes due to wastewater injection. Likewise, nuclear power plants produce low greenhouse gas emissions, which helps to slow the rate of climate change, but produce radioactive waste, potentially affecting aquatic life.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community
What makes you feel connected to your campus, your neighbors, or another kind of community in your life?

Security and inclusion make me feel most connected to my community and campus. When there's a sense of security within my community, it gives me a sense of reassurance and trust. Likewise, when there's inclusion, it allows me to feel comfortable and calm with the people in my community.
