Waste

Skip the Straw

Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 3 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.

I live right next to a state park and went hiking. It showed me how beautiful my environment is even if I don’t always love it.

I have Pots and celiacs so being in environments that offer gluten-free food options and where I can often sit and refill my water bottle are vital things for my personal health.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

I recycle at my house which is a huge step. When I am out at restaurants I ask for no straw and I use a reusable water bottle every day.
