  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Try a New Way to Prep
Canning and pickling food is a great way to have delicious summer fruits and vegetables all year round. Just make sure to follow the canning and pickling guidelines from the USDA or another trusted source. What are some foods that you would like to preserve and enjoy later in the year?

Pickling is easier than you think! It's a bit expensive to start, but a great way to prevent surplus from expiring. If you'd just like try it out, there are many refrigerator pickle recipes that don't need a canner
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health Go get a check up
How do you practice self care?

    Caeley Bair's avatar
    Caeley Bair 10/20/2023 12:24 PM
I practice self care by eating healthy and taking care of my mental health by doing things I love.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Go Paperless
Reducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

    Caeley Bair's avatar
    Caeley Bair 10/20/2023 12:22 PM
It makes me feel good being able to help prevent waste in the world but also having a clean environment around me. My next step to reduce waste would be take anything recyclable to a place where they are use the plastic or other materials.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

    Caeley Bair's avatar
    Caeley Bair 10/04/2023 12:39 PM
This surprises me because I don't pay attention to how much food we waste every year and that is a high number for just one person. I would rather use this money to help pay for college or other necessities I need.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Switch to Cold Water
What do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?

    Caeley Bair's avatar
    Caeley Bair 10/02/2023 6:11 PM
I plan to save the money and use it for emergency’s or just put it in my savings.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Nature Go for a Daily Walk
How do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?

    Caeley Bair's avatar
    Caeley Bair 10/02/2023 6:09 PM
It allows me to look around and observe the small things that I wouldn’t be able to see driving. Since it’s fall now I notice the changing leaves and see different animals around.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Power Down the Computer
What are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?

    Caeley Bair's avatar
    Caeley Bair 10/02/2023 6:06 PM
Other ways I could save energy is by turning off the lights when i’m not using them to save electricity and by recycling.
