Katie's actions
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 2 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 2 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.
Food
Choose Organic Ingredients
I will enjoy 2 meal(s) cooked with organic ingredients each day.

Katie Bakalars 10/30/2023 4:51 PMI have gotten myself an 100% recycled plastic water bottle and have been using that instead of plastic water bottles. Also, when I go out to eat, I try not to not use plastic straws. And I have been checking the ingredients in almost all off the foods I am going to eat/make to make sure they are all organic. It is interesting when people read my water bottle where it says 100% recycled plastic on the side and think that my water bottle is gross because who knows where that plastic has been but in reality, all off it was burned at a temperature that made sure all the bacteria is gone.
