My ecochallenge has been going well so far! I am doing well with my daily actions but I need to spend more time on my one-time actions.

Good luck Chloe! I agree - need to carve out a little time to do some more one-time actions.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Keeping my room free of clutter helps reduce stress levels and declutters my mind!

I agree, Chloe! I also find it easier to tackle one small declutter task at a time. I did this on the weekend, and found a few items that I'm planning on wearing and using again!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water 5-Minute Showers
Name some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?

Shortening my shower length to 5 minutes or under has always been a challenge for me. But I've figured out a way that works for me while conserving water. I am technically in the shower for longer than 5 minutes but I shut the water off for lathering, shaving etc.

I find this a tricky one too Chloe! Especially when I have a longer haircut. When I was younger my dad actually got us a shower timer and it was sort of like a game to race against the clock so adding in that element for competitive people may help (fortunately the water didn't turn off on us).
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Healthy Sleep
Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

    Chloe Berge's avatar
    Chloe Berge 10/18/2023 3:21 PM
I've been more strict about my bedtime recently and the extra rest really pays off.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health More Fruits and Veggies
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

I need to get back to pre-making my smoothies the night before so that they're ready for my breakfast. I can get 2-3 servings of my fruits & veggies right there first thing in the morning. it feels good to start off my day that way.

I went to Wisby's Veggies with my family over the weekend to get our pumpkins for the season. But while I was there, I was able to pick up local vegetables (from Wisby's Farm) that I needed for my meals for the week, as well as a bouquet of fresh cut flowers!
