    its going great! some days its easier than others depending on school and work demands, but its always there in the back of my head

    I saw this challenge as an opportunity to reflect upon my current lifestyle in optimizing my best health as well as showing respect to mother nature. It gives me a chance to set goals and monitor how I am doing and allows me to stay committed and make a positive change for the environment but also my personal health.

    It has been great! With the beautiful sunny weather outside, I have been spending more time out in nature either runs or walks which has been great for my mental health

      That's great, Prempreet! I find being out in nature or just being outdoors helps with my mental health too! I find I sleep better after spending time outdoors as well!

    It's going great. With the beautiful sunny weather this week, I have been spending lots of time outdoors and it has been so great for my mental health.

    What are some of the needs that water meets or benefits that water provides for you?

    helps me hydrate after and during my workouts
    helps me cleanse myself: shower, brushing, using the washroom
    quenches my thirst
    helps me water my plants and veggies so they can grow
    important for recipes/other foods that contain water

    How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

    for myself, when i eat more fruits and veg i see tremendous benefits for my skin and the way i truly feel, it makes me feel clean versus eating highly processed foods in large quantities
    as a vegetarian, i dont eat any meat. meat processing does use a lot of water

    How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    quality time can be incorporated by taking a friend/family walk, you get to hangout with some good company and still achieve health and mental benefits by going on an outdoor stroll!
    taking workout classes with friends can also be very cool
    playing sports on the weekend and going to the playground with your siblings is also a great idea

    Before you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?

    i wasn't addicted to sugar id say but i have this urge to eat something small and sweet after a meal i dont even know why, this could be like 2 m&ms or a small piece of an oreo cookie, i know very absurd but hey thats me.
    ive been working on it by making sure my meals are more balanced with fats especially to keep those hormones in check! paying attention to stress levels has also helped

    knowing where you come from in that what resources and abilities you do have access to and are able to participate in helps you build the inner drive and desire to help others in the world to also get to experience what you are able to do right now!
