Brinley's actions
Health
Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 8 hours of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.
Health
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 30 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Waste
Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Historically, marginalized and low-income communities live closer to landfills, contributing to a multitude of health problems. I will find out how I can limit single-use items and do my best to limit the waste I generate. I will keep 1 containers out of the landfill each day.
Simplicity
Replace Screen Time with Other Activities
I will replace 60 minutes of screen time each day with other activities.
Transportation
Share Rides with Others
I will sign up for a car-sharing service or coordinate ride shares with roommates, classmates, or campus peers to reduce the number of vehicles on the road.
Water
Brush My Teeth Without Running Water
I will save up to 4 gallons (15 L) of water each day by turning it off while brushing my teeth.
Food
Plan Meals for the Week
I will reduce food waste and save money by planning a weekly menu, only buying the ingredients I need.

Brinley Boatright 2/22/2026 11:17 AMThis week at the grocery store, I made a more conscious effort to be aware of what I needed to buy and whether I would use everything I bought. Taking more time to think about my purchases not only eliminated waste, it also saved me some money! -
Brinley Boatright 2/11/2026 8:39 AMI drive to Salt Lake at least once a week with a group of friends for an exercise class. Most of the time we all drive separate due to different schedules, but this week we made an effort to carpool. Rather than 4 of us driving separate, we made the effort to meet at one person's house and drive the rest of the way together.
