    I think this statement is very true. Being outside connects us to who we are, and I believe it leads to us feeling more connected with the universe. Those who spend most of their time outside are more likely to understand their purpose, and feel ready for their own life.

    When I am walking, I get to appreciate the flowers and the birds and the squirrels and all the little moments of nature that I do not normally get to enjoy while driving.

    My favorite way to move my body and experience joy is to blast music and dance! It is so freeing and makes me feel good.

    I can exercise with friends, exercise outside rather than the gym, and also practice mindfulness while exercising to keep my mind healthy

    The biggest thing that can be done to help the health of our water systems is by using non toxic cleaning products that will not put toxins in our water sources

    What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

    One of the biggest single use items I use is probably tea bags and kcups. I can make a difference and use less of these items by buying reusable bags or cups and putting loose tea or grinds in them. By sacrificing an extra minute of my day, I can help decrease the amount of single use waste I create.

    Practicing gratitude is a great way to see what is already good about the world, rather than constantly focusing on the bad. By practicing gratitude, you can remember why we need to fight to keep these good things in our life.
