Khloë Bracken 4/03/2025 5:21 PMToday is day 72 and I feel like the challenge has gone well! The hardest one for me so far has been going on walks just because of how busy my schedule is, but I'm working on finding more time to do it every week!-

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Khloë Bracken 2/11/2025 3:21 PMThis does not surprise me, I feel as if people often forget about the food that they purchase and end up throwing it away and wasting it. I would rather spend this money to pay for flights to see family! -
Khloë Bracken 2/10/2025 11:35 PMChecking in for day 20 of 100 for the ecochallenge! I'm finding some trouble with reducing refined sugars & minimizing the amount of driving I am doing (due to work and living off campus), but I'm learning to adapt and adjust appropriately! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterWhat is the main water source in your region? If you don't know, how could you find out?

REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergyHow is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?
Khloë Bracken 1/30/2025 5:20 PMIn my hometown, most of the electricity we use is generated by solar power and wind power. Specifically wind power can be a huge threat to animals (mostly birds), due to the risk of flying into the windmills. This is something that happens often in the Coachella Valley, and there are about 20+ deaths every year because of it.
