Eco challenge did not go to well today, completed my "reusable water bottle" challenge, but not my "get out in nature" one (had a lot going on today and did not get the time to spend time in thr outdoors)

    Waste
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

One barrier would include how my bubbler is sometimes on the red level (unsafe drinking water), but when that happens I usually try to find a different bubbler. I could make this habit permanent by never buying plastic water bottles again or accepting them.

    Nature
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

Yes I believe that rings true for me. Being in the outdoors helps support emotional sustainability and a sense of connection to the outside world. When staying indoors, I tend to become more stressed with myself, feel more disconnected, and I believe it makes others feel like they do not have to "protect" the natural world.
