  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health
Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What changes did you make to improve your sleep, and how did they affect your day?

Last night, I slept 10 hours and it was glorious. It is hard to prioritize sleep when you have schoolwork, jobs, friends, and a thesis to write. But golly gee did I have some weird dreams about mice.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity
Fresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?

I love to take a walk either to think or to not think. Being outside in the quiet reminds me how tiny I am in the grand scheme of things and how my thesis will get done and this is just a temporarily difficult time in my life.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
How do our current food growing and manufacturing processes affect our future and the future of Earth?

I went to a local farm with some friends to do buy some pumpkins and get some warm apple cider. We spent 45 minutes in the corn maze and found out that the farm has some ethical issues with the way they treat their animals. That was upsetting but not surprising for this type of business model. They had deer in cages!! So odd and upsetting. Their "Jersey Devil" looked like the count from Sesame Street and it is NOT supposed to look like that.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste
How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

I love to craft with preexisting clothes and fabric to get as much use out of my items as I can! I also live in a co-op and can easily find other people who want to do clothing swaps and such.
