Taking a walk each day really helps relax me and boost my mood. It makes me feel refreshed and lets me take a break from other factors of my life. I can clear my mind but also feel like I'm doing something productive and makes me wanna continue to be productive. I also enjoy studying and/or listening to podcasts while I take a walk.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity
Social media can keep us connected with loved ones, make us laugh, and help us to learn new things. It can also create echo chambers and take more time than we realize or intend to give. After completing this action for a few days, how do you feel? What do you notice?

Practicing mindfulness really helps me enjoy my meals and thoroughly eat/chew. It also makes me eat less and know/understand when I'm full.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy
Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your ZIP code, region, and/or state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage? If you live on campus or in shared housing, you may not receive a utility bill—so what are some other ways you can reduce energy use in your living space?

You can make sure to turn off all the lights, turn tvs and electronics off, unplug anything in outlets. This goes for the same thing living on campus.

Exercising today really helped boost my serotonin levels. At first, I really dreaded working out and didn't want to at all but as soon as I did I felt so much better and am super glad I did. Overall, it made me feel so much more productive.
