- 15-DAY STREAK
Modal Description
Watch the short video below to learn the basics.
You'll be an Campus Ecochallenge expert in no time!
I will keep 1 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.
I will spend 10 minutes learning about the perils of fast fashion and will buy my clothes at second-hand stores when I shop.
I will de-clutter, clean, and donate or recycle unneeded items in my home or dorm room.
I will take a walk outside for 30 minutes each day.
We may find more meaning and joy in life when our actions are aligned with our personal values. I will determine what my top 3-5 core values are so that I can better align my actions with them.
I will get my Core Four Biometrics tests (blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and BMI).
I will meditate or create a moment of silence for 5 minute(s) each day to reflect on things important to me.
I will make an appointment for my annual physical.
I will not work more than 8 hour days each day to practice work-life balance.
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
Both systemic and personal sustainability are important! I will develop a plan with my medical professionals to achieve my best health and live my life to the fullest.
I chose this because I attended a "women in bloom" conference yesterday (4/3). It was an event held by a small women owned marketing company. The first panel had four women owned small business owners. It was a very neat business panel and I learned a lot from all the women who spoke yesterday.
I will spend 15 minutes learning about restorative justice and conflict resolution opportunities in my own community or state.
I will explore at least one new hiking trail or nature walk in my area.
I will practice actively listening to a friend, family member, co-worker, acquaintance, or someone who I may disagree with in at least 5 conversations.
I will enjoy the sunrise and/or sunset each day.
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?
