I haven't been as vigilant as I should be in keeping up to date on this Ecochallenge, but it I hope others are. I am mainly treating it as a great source aggregator for environmental/ sustainability information.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I installed a Cala Systems (calasystems.com) heat pump water heater in my home. It is super cool, super efficient, heats during the most opportune times of the day, and is loaded with technology that tracks my water and power usage.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What surprised you most about your water footprint, and how did it influence your perspective on water use? What changes can you make to reduce your water consumption, and how will these impact your daily routine?

I thought that I was doing well with water conservation, but at 970 gallons/ day, it seems very high. This was reported as below US average. It makes you think about the hidden inputs into all of the things that you use on a daily basis.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
If you joined or split a CSA share as a student, what would make it easier or more appealing for you to stick with it?
