Participant Feed

Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Car Share
Take a moment to think of places you frequent often (school, work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

The only places I drive to in Vermillion are grocery stores/food places. Instead of going to these places alone separately, I could coordinate with friends to go together and save gas and carbon emissions.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

Yes, this does ring true. Being outside almost always boosts my mood and provides a good place for meditation and reflection. Spending more time indoors disconnects you from nature/the outside world.
