REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Online Energy AuditWhat most interested or surprised you about your own energy footprint? What changes did you make or will you make?
Sandra Miller 10/02/2024 8:14 PMAn aging home definitely requires more help! We replaced windows this year, and redid the weather stripping around the doors. We put LARGE door seals on our overhead garage doors last year which was a big difference, and the year before added 6” of insulation in our attic. It all helps, But the WINDOWS were where we saw the largest heat/cold improvement. -
Sandra Miller 10/02/2024 7:54 PMI’m having fun meeting the goals, and it’s encouraging to feel better about myself and at the same time help our world. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smart Seafood ChoicesMany states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?
Sandra Miller 10/01/2024 10:56 AMAfter reading the information on Seafood Watch perhaps the reason I don't find Pacific salmon sold in stores is due to the fact that they limit the purchase of bc salmon due to the fishing practices - which is great! Also selecting where I buy my fish from, such as a farm store and/or private owned business as opposed to a chain. I also did not realize the drift gillnets were used to catch salmon in BC. 😔
