Lorelei's actions
Nature
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 30 minutes per day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside.
Nature
Listen to a Nature Podcast
I will spend 60 minutes listening to a podcast about nature.
Water
Fix Leaky Faucets
I will report or fix leaking faucets in my dorm, apartment, or shared space to prevent water waste—up to 9 gallons (34 L) per day per faucet.
Nature
Learn How to Save the Pollinators
I will spend 15 minutes learning which plants support local native pollinators and grow some in containers, a campus garden, or at home if space allows.
Water
Brush My Teeth Without Running Water
I will save up to 4 gallons (15 L) of water each day by turning it off while brushing my teeth.
Nature
Learn the 7 Principles of Leave No Trace
Leave No Trace means enjoying nature responsibly by minimizing our impact and leaving the environment as we found it, or better. I will spend 15 minutes learning about the seven core principles to minimize my impact while enjoying the outdoors.
Water
Practice Eco-Friendly Gardening
I will plant native species, landscape with water-efficient plants, and use eco-friendly fertilizers.
Simplicity
Reflect on My Needs Versus Wants
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
Community
Host A Watch Party
I will host a watch party to screen a documentary about an issue that matters to me.
Health
Audit Toxic Products In My Living Space
Many common products contain harmful chemicals. I will spend 15 minutes researching chemicals found in products I use, and I will make a list of products I'd like to replace with safer options.
Health
Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 1 hours of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What changes did you make to improve your sleep, and how did they affect your day?
Lorelei Mize 4/20/2026 11:32 AMI usually get around 5-6 hours of sleep, but I’d like to be closer to a consistent 6-7. I’ve been trying to wind down earlier, put my phone away sooner, and stick to a more regular bedtime.I haven’t seen major changes yet, but it’s helping me build better habits - hoping that will pay off over time!
