REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteNew to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? How will you use your compost once it is ready?
Sebastian Morillo 4/08/2025 2:44 PMMe and my family have been composting since the pandemic and it has been very useful. We have a small garden in our backyard and our plants have thrived with our homemade compost. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteChoosing two-sided printing can be an easy adjustment on your computer settings. How can you help others make this same switch? Can it be encouraged company wide?
Sebastian Morillo 4/08/2025 2:43 PMToday I had to print some things for an assignment, and my parents also asked me for help printing some documents. I printed them double-sided, saving five sheets of paper in the process. It is a very easy switch that more people should start doing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergyHow is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?
Sebastian Morillo 4/08/2025 2:41 PMSince most of Honduras' power relies on petroleum, I turn off all my electronics when I'm not using them, because I'm being mindful of my resources and not wasting them. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Sebastian Morillo 4/08/2025 2:40 PMI buy things everyday, whether that is at my local pulperia or at the supermarket. Today during my walk, I stopped by the pulperia buying a drink and some fruit, and instead of asking for a bag, I carried the fruit in my pockets and held the drink in my hand. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityFresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?
Sebastian Morillo 4/08/2025 2:39 PMToday I went for a walk to wake me up properly. I usually wake up around 4:30 AM to get ready for school, but since today was online, I figured I should use my time wisely. I went for a walk before logging onto class and it helped me focus more on my assignments and made it an overall enjoyable day.
