Practicing gratitude forces me to be aware of what is going on in my life.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Enjoy the Sunrise/Sunset
Father Thomas Berry says, "... our primary purpose is celebration. Celebration of the dawn and the sunset and the different seasons of the year is a religious ritual, a way in which humans can establish their integral relationship with the universe, with the planet Earth." What is your response to Berry's assertion?

It’s the little things in life that make it worth it. It never hurts to slow down and appreciate the things that will always be a part of your day-to-day routine

Well said, I agree! It's something we all need to remember no matter what kind of day we're having.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Eliminate Toxic Plastics
What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

I feel like coffee cups or single-use drink cups are where I fail to avoid single-use plastics. It’s just hard to avoid when most anywhere just serves them to you. Tim’s has been getting easier since I only order hot drinks in paper cups, but for the rest most places still give plastic cups. I’ve started using a reusable water bottle with water, it both eliminates the need to buy the drinks in plastic cups and is more healthy for me.
