Ethan's actions
Water
Use Reusable Bottles
I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 7 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.
Health
Healthy Sleep
Effectively working for sustainability requires self care! I will commit to getting 30 more minute(s) of sleep each night to achieve at least 7 hours per night.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 60 minute(s) each day.
Waste
Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Cheap, single-use items and disposable packaging end up blowing around as litter more often in poor and POC-majority neighborhoods. I will find out how I can limit single-use items and do my best to limit the waste I generate.
Waste
Use Reusable Bags
If at all possible, I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases.
Food
Choose Organic Ingredients
I will enjoy 1 meal(s) cooked with organic ingredients each day.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Reduce Single-Use DisposablesWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What did you substitute or could be substituted instead?
Ethan Onyejesi 4/17/2024 8:45 AMI regularly use a water bottle to drink water instead of purchasing multiple plastic bottles. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Choose Organic IngredientsMany people say that “you can’t feed the world with just organic food.” How would you respond to that statement?
Ethan Onyejesi 4/15/2024 4:06 PMI think you can although it would be difficult because of its high cost-
Angelo Zazzarino 4/15/2024 9:04 PMI think that it is tough to say because with feeding the world on organic food we would have to use more land, but that goes against the native we are trying to push as well.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Ethan Onyejesi 4/09/2024 5:42 PMIf you only have a few items, carrying them by hand can be a viable option, especially if they are not too heavy or bulky.
Keep reusable bags in places where you're likely to need them, such as your car, backpack, or by the front door. This way, you're more likely to have one available when you need it.
