Recently completed a Restorative Justice training with RJMP. I am very interested in the core underlying principles of restorative justice which is focused on reconcillation and repair over punishment. I am interested in incorporating this principles more into our work at CEO, and have a plan to brainstorm with other staff on how we could implement more of this into our current processes.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

I typically have my reusable bags in the car but forget to bring them in the store. Since starting this challenge I have been carrying things out rather than accept a disposable, then put things in my bag once I get out to the car.
