Gabriella Rigoli 4/01/2025 9:39 AMStarting April off with this challenge has been an exciting way for me to continue to stay motivated as the school year pushes forward. I have been utilizing my reusable water bottle and have prioritized spending time outside on the first day. Using my reusable water bottle has allowed me to reflect on the theme of destruction that is a key focus in Ruether's readings. Ruether focuses on the idea that the actions of humans is what is causing stress to ourselves and our environment. As someone who has grown up spending summers at the beach, seeing plastic waste accumulate in our water is truly heartbreaking. Through my small action of using a reusable water bottle, I am able to make a small difference, while beginning to combat the destruction of Earth which is so common in our society.
