Being at the airport has made me realize how connected we all are. Georgetown students come from all over the US and the globe and we all share this instituion - similar to how we share one planet.

Coming back to campus and exercising inside vs outside is definately a big difference. I love how walkable Georgetown and DC is - really makes it easier to spend time outdoors.

I look a lot of rest this week for Easter break and it's really allowing me to see the way other people and cultures live, which I think is important in informing my activism. It reminded me a lot of the reading for today.

I ate a coconut from a local tree today and it was really interesting to see how easy it is to eat organically when there is a lot of produce around you.

I have a coconut tree close to my house. It's refreshing to eat one when it's so hot outside. You should also try planting mango trees, I have one at home that produces a lot of mangoes. You'd be surprised how good they taste when they're green and unripe.

Working out on vacation is hard but we can do it - I went snorkeling today (wasn't tracked on my watch) and I learned so much about nature.

Same here. Working out has become tiring during summer, I get exhausted faster, but when you see the results everything is worth it.

I am currently in the CCC on a retreat and being here has both reminded me of and reinforced a lot of the points we've discussed in class. Sitting in nature without the ability to do work (against the Western urge to be constantly productive) is rejuvinating and reminds me a lot of the All We Can Save reading and how we can all take steps to be more mindful.
