Reduce Single-Use Disposables

Historically, marginalized and low-income communities live closer to landfills, contributing to a multitude of health problems. I will find out how I can limit single-use items and do my best to limit the waste I generate. I will keep 2 containers out of the landfill each day.

    My EcoChallenge is to reduce single-use disposables. It has been going good. Something I’ve learned is that there are many alternatives to single-use plastic like using instead like Tupperware or reusable food storage bags instead of Ziploc bags.

      yes, and the Ozzi system on campus! I carry a small plastic bag with me when I go to restaurants in case I need to take home leftovers, rather than get a single-use styrafoam or plastic box.
