REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Use Reusable BottlesWhat are some of the needs that water meets or benefits that water provides for you?
Ashley Velazquez 9/21/2024 8:37 PMI love my reusable bottles! I use second hand bottles or bottles that have been traded with other family members so they have some sentimentality to them. I also love how large they are providing me with the hydration I need throughout the day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Ashley Velazquez 9/21/2024 8:35 PMI have some mugs and cups I have been using for a few years now so it is regular for me to use them. I get dehydrated quite quickly so I usually use them. It makes me feel conscious about how much waste I would be producing if I used non-reusable mugs. I will keep up this habit! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Drive LessHow has your access to various kinds of transportation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Ashley Velazquez 9/21/2024 8:33 PMSince I mostly carpool or go with traveling buddies it has been a regular habit but have also tried to limit going out. It has shown me that it better to save on trips by going together and reducing emissions. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?
Ashley Velazquez 9/21/2024 8:32 PMI decided to not go to the store this week, to not spend on unnecessary items, and to not eat unhealthy snacks. By putting up these kind of boundaries I was able to save, reduce cluttering, and to wait on making myself a healthy meal. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Enjoy the Sunrise/SunsetFather Thomas Berry says, "... our primary purpose is celebration. Celebration of the dawn and the sunset and the different seasons of the year is a religious ritual, a way in which humans can establish their integral relationship with the universe, with the planet Earth." What is your response to Berry's assertion?
Ashley Velazquez 9/21/2024 8:30 PMI had some time in between homework and chores to go outside. I stood on a chair that overlooks the wall and was able to see the sunset! It was so wonderful and there was a nice breeze :)
