Health
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 60 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Waste
Compost My Food Waste
I will avoid sending up to 0.42 lbs (0.19 kg) of food waste to the landfill per day by composting my food.
Simplicity
Reflect on My Needs Versus Wants
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
Food
Plan Meals for the Week
I will reduce food waste and save money by planning a weekly menu, only buying the ingredients I need.

Nathan Virginelli 11/19/2025 1:53 PMThe EcoChallenge that I picked was to compost more rather than throwing all food in the trash, it has been going well so far! The county landfill, has a designated section to cooking oil and compost drop off, and I've been able to drop off what I've collected of compost at least once this week. I've done a bit of research and learned that organic foods can take anywhere between 2 weeks and 6 months to decompose in compost.-
Alysa Remsburg 11/20/2025 11:52 AMGreat to hear! But where exactly are you taking stuff? The landfill we just visited separates yard waste, but not food waste, unfortunately.
