REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Learn About & Practice Sustainable FashionHow can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?
Shelby Welch (Cho 101) 10/22/2023 8:09 PMrewearing what you have is key. you can style things in so many different ways to make it look like you have bought something new when really you have had it for years. also if you get an urge to buy stuff, go to a thrift store. you can buy the most beautiful things and clean them up to make them yours, but they have been loved on a little or at least passed down so someone else can love them. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow might spending more time outdoors enhance your brainpower?
Shelby Welch (Cho 101) 10/22/2023 8:06 PMbeing outside is inspiring. i write a lot and it helps me connect with the artist in me and to let go of my worries and to be with nature that was created for millions of creatures. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Watch a Documentary about Food SovereigntyHow does food sovereignty address the complex transition from localized food systems to modern global food systems?
Shelby Welch (Cho 101) 10/22/2023 8:05 PMthis prioritizes local food sources and where they originated from. it also pushes things like farmer culture and fishing. also, hunting not for trophies but to feed your family. also focuses on stability of cultures and their economic and environmental factors -

Shelby Welch (Cho 101) 10/22/2023 8:00 PMvoting is a way to make your voice heard. no matter what side youre on. you are helping the side you believe in by signing up to vote, also it is a right of passage to learn about your country and where your beliefs lie in terms of the country -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Engage In Active ListeningWhat was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?
Shelby Welch (Cho 101) 10/22/2023 7:58 PMi am actually hard of hearing so it takes a lot of energy to actively listen to others but it helps you learn more about the people you love and care about. you can learn new things as well about life in general. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Shelby Welch (Cho 101) 10/22/2023 7:57 PMi have used a reusable water bottle my whole life so this was not a switch for me. more places need the fountains where you can fill up a bottle because i don't want to fill up my bottle somewhere where people have put their mouths like a traditional water fountain. thats why i still buy bottled water sometimes. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Shelby Welch (Cho 101) 10/22/2023 7:55 PMits hard to remember to grab a reusable cup before i go to the on campus Starbucks, so i started making more coffees at home. which saves cups because i use reusable Starbucks cups and wash them. this also saves money because coffee ingredients are so much cheaper than a daily Starbucks -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Choose Two-Sided PrintingChoosing two-sided printing can be an easy adjustment on your computer settings. How can you help others make this same switch? Can it be encouraged company wide?
Shelby Welch (Cho 101) 10/22/2023 7:53 PMchoosing two sided printing is an easy switch and its an automatic at the college. it does not effect our reading or turning in your paper. its a super easy switch. -
