REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Azalea Wiley 12/01/2023 11:31 PMIf I don't have a reusable bag on me, I will try to only use paper bags, and if there isn't paper, I sometimes look to see if I can purchase a reusable bag. I sometimes will use the plastic bags they offer if I can desperate because I reuse them as trash bags for the bathroom garbage. I put many reusable bags in my car so I see them when I go shopping and don't forget them.-
Genesee Hernandez 3/25/2024 9:54 PMI also do this!! I've bought less than 10 plastic bags for sure!!!!

REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My Home or Dorm RoomHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more unnecessary things in the future?
Azalea Wiley 12/01/2023 10:47 PMI can be conscious of the things that I buy. I think it is important to know the difference between needs and wants. When I go to the store, I should make a list of the things that I need and only buy the things on the list, so I don't buy things out of compulsion. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Joyful MovementWhat's your favorite activity(ies) in which you experience joy while being active and moving?
Azalea Wiley 11/22/2023 8:39 AMI took a nice walk around my neighborhood. There was a beautiful sunset and I was listening to music. I was very happy. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Azalea Wiley 11/22/2023 8:38 AMSince the time change, I have been getting more sleep. I think since it gets dark so early, I get tired early. I used to go to bed around 12-1am, but now I like getting in bed around 11. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Support Local PollinatorsWhy is it important to take care of pollinators?
Azalea Wiley 11/22/2023 8:36 AMPollinators are so important for every aspect of life!! My grandma is a bee-keeper so I know first hand how cool bees are. But there are so many other types of pollinators. I looked into what type of wildflowers are preferred for pollinators. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Plant an Herb GardenConsider the ways you can garden: a plot of land? a patio container? hanging basket? windowsill gardens? What would work best for your living situation and lifestyle?
Azalea Wiley 11/22/2023 8:35 AMI got a little herb garden from Trader Joes. It came with rosemary, thyme, and sage. This is perfect for me because the container is small enough to fit on my kitchen counter. Eventually, I would like to plant some into separate pots or even plant them outside. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
