REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Skip the StrawHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Aaron Wisenbarger 3/04/2024 11:15 AMFirst step complete. I just purchased my first set of reusable metal straws. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Aaron Wisenbarger 3/04/2024 10:47 AMFor the past month, I averaged about 6hr 19min of sleep per night. I want to shift my sleep pattern so that I sleep a little earlier. I've always been a person who is late to bed, and sometimes, this makes it difficult to get the sleep I need, especially during the week when I need to wake up for work. Part of my problem too is caffeine consumption. I work a full time job and am also back in college, so sometimes I feel so tired after work, that I drink a cup of coffee to focus on my schoolwork. Prioritizing sleep while reducing my caffeine intake should help me reach my sleep goal. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Reduce refined sugarBefore you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?
Aaron Wisenbarger 3/04/2024 10:41 AMI wouldn't say that I felt 'addicted' to sugar, but I did notice that when I consumed sugar, it triggered a response that I wanted more during that eating session. I found it easy to resist sugar, but if I had it, I found myself craving more of it and overeating. What began as a small snack of trail mix ended in me eating the entire bag in one sitting. It's much easier for me just to avoid it in the first place, especially knowing what will happen if I consume it.
