So far, I have been working towards my goal slowly but surely, I'm not spending as much time as I would want on my goals. Over the next week I will try to be more focused, especially on getting outside since it is getting nicer.

    • 2-DAY STREAK
My campus challenge is going pretty steadily. I have only flushed when necessary, taken 5 minute showers, and taken time to go outside at least 10 extra minutes each day. The last one honestly is something that increases my mood so much and I will continue to do it even when the challenge ends.

    • 10-DAY STREAK
It's been pretty challenging trying to eat 2 meatless meals a day. I often only end up eating two meals in a day which means I'm fully vegetarian those days. A lot of my favorite foods contain meat, but there are a variety of food options on campus, so it has been manageable.

the ecochallenge is going well, switching to cold water for my laundry and using reusable water bottles has been manageable. switching my laundry was not too hard of a switch and i am glad something so simple can be done to help save energy. for the water bottle switch, i just cut down on my plastic water bottle use and planned to use my yeti water bottle and shaker bottle.

To help my waste, I decided to start using only my reusable water bottle. I have been using it every day to reduce the amount of plastic I use. Then I also choose to watch the sunset for ten minutes every day. My desk in my room has a perfect view of the sunset, so I will sit down for a little bit every night and just watch the sun set. Lastly, to help reduce the amount of energy I use. To do this I have turned my heat completely off and will refrain from using my air conditioning when it starts to get warm out.

It's going very well! I bought myself a hydroflask and its helping me reduce plastic use as well as stay hydrated. I feel this is very benefecial to both me and the environment!

I'm trying to eat vegan, it's difficult to find foods that don't have animal products, and the food is more expensive.

My campus ecochallenge is going well so far. My chosen challenge was to take shorter showers to save water and avoid unneeded waste. I found this a little challenging at first, as 5 minutes moved a bit faster than what my perception was, but I think I have adapted accordingly and I am doing better at keeping my showers shorter.

A lot of the single use things I get end up being from kwik trip. Like food wrappings or drinks, coffee, etc. The main thing I did to reduce my use was just get a lot less of them. Which was decently easy to do.
